Global ISLAMOPHOBIA on the Rise

Its supremely difficult times for muslims,

Perhaps, the severest in documented history. From torture in concentration camps for the Uighurs in China to degrading and emasculating incarcerations in Guantanamo. From reckless and inhuman phosphorus cluster bombs in Gaza  that target women and Children to an artificially induced humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

Across the globe, muslims communities are gradually being pushed into an ever narrowing abyss of hopelessness.

In the middle East,Afghanistan and North Africa, western countries have systematically and brutally destroyed what was hitherto thriving muslim cultures. The populace have been displaced and rendered indigent. In Burma,Budhist army Generals have already displaced over 2 million Rohingya muslims whilst incinerating close to a million in what can be described as ethnic cleansing of armageddonic proportions.Closer to Burma, the BJB Party in India is on the campaign trail promising the Hindu electorate that once they ascend to power, they will decimate the muslims.

Insanely, the global anti-Muslim movement is no longer a thing to frown about.

The U.S.is beating its war drums in yet another devastating adventure to bomb Iran to smithereens at the dubious pretext of developing Nukes.meanwhile,Iran's immediate neighbour,Israel, has stockpiled about 400 nukes at the Dimona in the Negev desert.

Israel is the most reckless nation and its nuclear arsenal should be a thing to worry about. But again, common sense and rationality are dystopian in the current global power set-up.Forget about the U.N.Its role has been primarily relegated to issuing flimsy statements long after the damage has been done. The U.N is practically a toothless bulldog that, like its predecessor, the League of Nations, should be disbanded for gross infidelity and failure.

Significantly,Islamophobes are getting the cue from Trump.

President Trump has given tacit approval to all Countries and Organisations that are inimical to the Islamic faith. His son-in-law and advisor,Jared Kushner is a mischief maker and a hate-monger par excellence. Kushner is a great bully and has succeeded in subduing one Bin Salman,Saudi Crown Prince,,who, himself,is entirely a new problem for muslims.

Kushner,Mbs and the Nahyans of the Emirates encapsulate an unholy tripartite alliance of nihilism. Its these trio that has midwifed the catastrophe in Yemen and precisely it's the same alliance that is keen to destroy Iran.

Interestingly, the Israeli Zionists are getting emboldened at these latest developments.Already, the U.S,is rewarding the Israelis with what has been dubbed "the deal of the century ".which is a farcical plan to annihilate the Palestinians and rob them of 90% of their remaining land.

In this scenario, its imperative that the global Muslim community take cognizance that we are indeed on great trial and consequently, engage in passionate prayers during this holy month of Ramadhan;that ALLAH SW.may elevate our stature and remove our collective suffering.Lets remember that "with hardships come ease".

Let's reminisce on the words of our Prophet SAW;

LA ILLAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDA

SADAQA WACDA

WA NASARA CABDA

WA ACAZA JUNDA

WA'AHZAMAL AHZABA WACDA.

Can Prof Magoha Fix The Educational Crisis in N.E.P?

There is a popular concurrence that Prof.Magoha is just about the Midas Touch for the Northern Schools.

Up until a few years ago, there was a glimmer of hope that the education sector in this region was picking up-both in terms of access and quality of education-thanks to devolved funding and FPE capitation funds.

Then bang!came the ominous and debilitating anticlimax. The Al shaabab hit the education sector where it hurts. They targeted teachers in remote schools and plundered educational infrastructure.

Overnight, like the biblical mass exodus, there was an unprecedented haemorrhage of non local teachers. In one great cataclysm, the TSC transferred thousands of teachers from NEP,thereby occasioning the biggest blow to the education sector in Northern Kenya since independence.

Even during the Shifta war of 1966,school's in NFD didn't close down. The Kenyatta Government had instituted ingenious security measures that ensured that learning was not disrupted in this restive region.

And its precisely in this context, that Magoha needs to display some clout and experience. I think he will fail.

Importantly,he has to differentiate sense from nonsense. The Nonsense in this case is the TSC.

The TSC is an archaic institution that should not have been given any constitutional independence. The TSC is defiant and obnoxious in the struggle towards sound staffing in Northern schools.

To the TSC,innovation, flexibility and affirmative action are utopian.

The good ladies at the helm of the TSC are arrogantly impervious to national Concord. They cant imagine that Northern Kenya is indeed part and parcel of the Republic of Kenya.

The good old professor's problems,he will realise, begin and end at the TSC.

The TSC seems to enjoy working in a vacuum. The immediate former Education Secretary Dr Amina realised this just too late.

Prof Magoha should think hard on how to contain the TSC's recalcitrant Chiefs.

Closing the Dadaab Refugee Camp.

There is some renewed interest in Refugee camps in Kenya.Hardly surprising considering that the Kenya Government has been threatening to shut down these camps every year for the last 20 years.

The current reflexes, are, however informed by the most recent attacks by AS on the Dusit Hotel complex.A very impetuous reflex,I must aver.

Kenya's refugee quagmire is slowly becoming analogous with the Palestinian refugee problem in Jordan and Lebanon. Only that there aren't any active hostilities between Kenya and Somalia. The Somalia refugees in Kenya have gradually been assimilated into the mainstream Kenyan society. Many have vast business interests which,in my opinion,is difficult to sever.

A large percentage of those refugees were born in Kenya.Their status will require litigation under domestic and international law.

Ironically, hundreds of refugees who transited to western countries from Dadaab have been granted Citizenship and have contributed significantly to the progress of their new society.

Why the Kenya Government is averse to any good emanating from this refugees is baffling and confounding.

It remains to be seen whether the refugee problem can solely be surmounted through repatriation.

Changes In Police Command Structure is Welcome

The one-government notion midwifed by Fred Matiangi has gradually cascaded to the counties. We now see a complete overhaul and homogeneity in Police Services.Important ranks have been eliminated whilst others were merged.

The AP and  Police are no longer distinct but complementary units. This new dispensation will yield shared intelligence and a common  approach to security nightmares.
